The calculators and content on FurCalc provide general informational estimates based on publicly available veterinary guidelines and peer-reviewed research. They do not constitute, and must not be used as, veterinary advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Decisions about your pet's health — including nutrition, medication, dosing, toxicity exposure, pregnancy management, behavioral issues, and end-of-life care — should be made in consultation with a licensed veterinarian who has examined your animal.

Formulas and accuracy

Every calculator displays the formula it uses and cites its source. Results are estimates and should not be considered exact. Individual animals vary in breed, genetics, health status, and other factors that no generalized formula can fully capture.
